Hastelloy C-276 Characteristic
Hastelloy C-276 is a tungsten-containing nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with a very low silicon carbon content. It is considered to be a versatile corrosion-resistant alloy with good resistance to local corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, oxidizing, and reducing media. Its ability to be used in many chemical applications such as ferric chloride, copper chloride, hot contaminated solutions (organic inorganic), formic acid, acetic acid, seawater and brine solutions. It is one of the few materials that resists the corrosion of wet chlorine, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide.
