The Inconel 625 application range of applications
The soft annealed low carbon alloy 625 is widely used in the chemical process industry, and its good corrosion resistance and high strength make it a thin structural component. Alloy 625 can be used in applications where it is exposed to seawater and subjected to high mechanical stresses.

Inconel 625 alloy has the following characteristics
- Excellent corrosion resistance to various corrosive media in oxidizing and reducing environments
- Excellent resistance to pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion, and no stress corrosion cracking due to chloride
- Excellent resistance to inorganic acid corrosion, such as nitric acid, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and mixed acid of sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid, etc.
- Excellent resistance to corrosion of various inorganic acid mixed solutions
- When the temperature reaches 40 °C, it can show good corrosion resistance in various concentrations of hydrochloric acid solution.
- Good processability and weldability, no post-weld cracking sensitivity
- Manufacturing certification for pressure vessels with wall temperatures between -196 and 450 °C
